Congratulations to all of our past pupils who graduated from University this year. We are delighted to share some of their stories with you:
- Wendy Walker
Past pupil Wendy went to Ulster University, Belfast and completed a foundation year in Art then continued to study Graphic Design and Illustration. She graduated this year with First Class Honours. Reflecting back on her time at Laurelhill she expressed her gratitude to Mrs Kearney, Head of Art, for the great start in her art studies and to Laurelhill for providing a great educational foundation. Wendy has not finished her education as of yet as she started a degree in Social Work in September of this year at Queen’s. We wish Wendy every success as she embarks on another chapter in her studies.
- Adam Crooks
Adam Crooks went to Loughborough University and completed a degree in Sports Science. He graduated this year with Second Class Honours, upper division. He hopes to complete his PGCE in Secondary PE next year and has returned to Laurelhill undertaking a volunteering role within the PE department. Adam thanked the college for the education and encouragement he received, especially from our PE Department, ‘they supported me through my studies and provided me with fantastic extra-curricular experiences. Thank you.’ We thank Adam for returning to college to support the staff and wish him good luck as he begins the PGCE application process.

Past pupil Rachel Smyth went to Ulster University, Jordanstown to study BSc Sports Theory and Practice. She graduated in 2017 with Second Class Honours, upper division and continued then to complete her PGCE for Post Primary with SEN. She graduated from her PGCE in July 2018.
