|22nd December 2018|
This term has been marked by the passing of our colleague and valued member of staff, Ms Caroline Flynn. Her untimely death brings into sharp focus our need to value those we love and care for this Christmas season. The College again extends its sympathies to her mother, sister, brother, wider family circle and friends. Please be assured of our thoughts and prayers over the festive season.
Our College production ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ had its final public performance on Thursday 13 December 2018. We are still in awe of the pupils and staff who have so ably executed a quite magnificent series of performances. Congratulations and well done on this outstanding production.
Year 8’s have had a great first term and have settled well into Laurelhill life. Pupils will receive their Christmas Progress Statement highlighting academic attainment. Any questions or queries please contact the form tutor or Mrs Beckett or Mrs Rea.
Year 10 students have already started considering their subjects for next year through subject surveys. Parents and Carers are encouraged to discuss subjects and career options over the Christmas break.
Years 12, 13 & 14
The mock exams and GCSE modules in LLW, English and Maths will take place in January. Students have received their exam timetables. All students should have revision questions and revision material from their subject teachers in order to prepare for their January examinations. The Christmas break is a good time to do some additional study.
