Numeracy is considered vital to the development of the world around us. It helps us understand the past and present and predict the future. We need numeracy to create the engineering, technological, scientific, and social solutions for the challenges facing the world today. Numeracy is not just about adding and subtracting. It can be achieved by mathematical communication or problems.

Within the college it is my aim as Numeracy Co-ordinator to ensure that the entire college is teaching the same methods when we communicate Numeracy across the curriculum.

Year 8 are availing of Numeracy Mentors in the college for those who require extra support BASED ON INTERNAL DATA ANALYSIS.

Numeracy club is on at Lunch time for Year 8 pupils on a Wednesday.
