Getting your child to and from school safely on time needs careful planning. Some children may be able to get help with home to school transport from the Education Authority (EA). Children with disabilities or special educational needs may also receive special help.
The Education Authority provides transport assistance for eligible pupils to facilitate their attendance at a grant aided school.
There are different types of transport assistance. EA decides what type of transport to award based on your child’s needs and our commitment to use resources efficiently. Parents/Carers remain responsible for ensuring their child attends school and getting them to a designated bus stop.
Pupils who live within the legal walking distance/qualifying distance from their school, would not normally receive help with home to school transport .
Please note: Bus route may change at times to suit traffic conditions but stops will remain the same.
