At Laurelhill Community College we strongly promote the ethos of Learning and Achieving Together. All pupils follow a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum which is tailored for the individual strengths and interests of our pupils. We place each pupil in appropriately sized groups consistent with their ability profile in order to ensure that all pupils have the opportunity to achieve their personal targets. Those children with Special Educational Needs receive support from specialist staff to help them meet their full potential.

The school is exceptionally well resourced with specialist rooms for each subject equipped to a high standard. There is a managed computer network system providing excellent opportunities for ICT. The sports facilities in the school boast extensive pitches including all weather, multi-sport 3G, two grass football pitches and a rugby pitch.

Our Library holds an impressive collection of books and magazines along with computer terminals which have intranet and internet access. It is open throughout the school day and after school for private study and class use, as well as being a centre for independent study and recreational reading.

Each pupil benefits from the expertise and dedication of our staff who provide engaging, supportive and challenging learning experiences. Our aim is to produce confident young people who are equipped with the necessary skills and attributes needed for life beyond secondary education.
