Web Design & Accountancy

When did you attend Laurelhill?

I started Year 8 in September 1998, finishing Year 12 in 2003. I then stayed on to complete Sixth Form, finishing in June 2005.

What Class were you in? Who was your Form Tutor?

I was in L3 and Mr Dane was my Form Tutor until the end of Year 12. When I moved into Sixth Form, Mrs McWhirter took over.

What are your fondest memories of your time in Laurelhill?

My best memories always include the College Productions. I had roles in 6 productions throughout my time in Laurelhill - The Wizard of Oz, Bugsy Malone, My Fair Lady, The Sound of Music, Grease & Back to the 80s. It was definitely my favourite time of year.

Were you a member of any Teams or Clubs?

Term 1 was always taken up with the College Production but I was also on the Hockey, Cross Country and Athletics Teams throughout the rest of the year.

What did you do when you left Laurelhill?

I went to the University of Ulster, Coleraine Campus, from September 2005 - June 2009, after completing Sixth Form, where I obtained a Bsc Business Degree.

Where are you now?

I live in Moira, with my husband Adam and my 3 children - Caleb, Annabella & Ruby. I work with my husband in our own Web Design Agency.

What advice would you give to our Laurelhill students?

Enjoy your time! That old cliche - school days are the best days of your life, but really they are definitely some of the best.
